The genus Erichsonella is rather well known. However, Menzies and F r a n k e n b e r g () questioned the specific rank given for E. floridana and E. crenulata, suggesting a future revision of the genus to detect interspecific variation and to characterize those species more accurately.

The previous records herein reported are taken from the existing literature, following an exhaustive revision. Outdated terminology was corrected in favor of presently valid names, based on the publications by Reish (), Salazar-Vallejo () and Hernandez-Alcantara (), since these are the basic studies about polychaetes from the Gulf. The terrestrial earthworm genus. Amynthas. Kinberg, , is the largest genus of the family Megascolecidae, containing 22 species groups with over recognised species, but also large numbers of synonyms (Sims & Easton, ; Blakemore, , ). After visiting Biozentrum Grindel und Zoologisches Museum, University of Hamburg.

So if genus refers to any kind of thing, then primates, bovines and animals are all genus. In that case, oxes and humans share the genus animal but do not share the genus primate or bovine. Perhaps Aristotle means to claim that the most specific genus possible must be shared in order to say that they have the same genus.   A scaleworm's setal snorkel A scaleworm's setal snorkel Pernet, Bruno Friday Harbor Laboratories, Friday Harbor, WA , USA Abstract. Setae of the first segment of the marine annelid Sthenelais berkeleyi (family Sigalionidae) are arranged in the shape of an antero-dorsally directed tube.

PettibonePartial Revision of the Genus Sthenelais Kinberg (Polychaeta: Sigalionidae) with Diagnoses of Two New Genera Introduction In connection with a long range study of the aphrodi-toid polychaetes, the species originally referred to Sthenelais by Kinberg (), including two species and three synonyms, are redescribed.

Two groups of species, originally described under Sthenelais, are. Partial revision of the genus Sthenelais Kinberg (Polychaeta: Sigalionidae) with diagnoses of two new genera.

Although the identity of several Leonnates species is in doubt, no systematic revision of the genus has been undertaken. The minimal genus for a supporting open book, called the support genus of a contact |$3$| –manifold |$(Y, \xi)$|, is such an invariant.

Thanks to works of Etnyre, Wendl, and several others, quite a lot is now known about contact |$3$| –manifolds with support genus zero, as well as their symplectic and Stein fillings (e.g., [ 16, 22, Revision of the sigalionid species (Polychaeta) referred to Psammolyce Kinberg,Pelogenia Schmarda, and belonging to the subfamily Pelogeniinae Chamberlin, Smiths.

Zootaxa Barnich, R., Gambi, M.C. & Fiege, D. (): Revision of the genus Polyeunoa McIntosh, (Polychaeta, Polynoidae). Zootaxa The genus Phaeophyscia Moberg, which belongs to the family Physciaceae, includes about 50 species, with 17 species reported in South Korea. This genus is characterized by a foliose thallus, Physcia/Pachysporaria-type ascospores, a paraplectenchymatous-type lower cortex, and lacking atranorin.

In this study, about specimens of Phaeophyscia aligned with the atranorin-absent. The phylogeny of scale-worms, benthic polychaetes carrying dorsal scales (elytra), including taxa from Acoetidae, Aphroditidae, Eulepethidae, Pholoidae, Pholoididae, Polynoidae and Sigalionidae (Aphroditiformia), is assessed from the nuclear markers 18SrRNA and 28SrRNA, and mitochondrial 16SrRNA and cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI), and 24 morphological characters.

Part III covers species with female stylet length >41 μm which are considered by this author to comprise the genus Gracilacus Raski, Seven new species of Gracilacus are described and further observations given on 14 other lenchus strenzkei (Volz, ) Oostenbrink, is transferred to species inquirendae.A key to the species of Gracilacus is included.
